Shavuot is one of the three ‘Primary’ Jewish holidays along with Passover and Sukkot. It has strong agricultural roots, but is marked as the anniversary of Jews receiving the Torah at Mount Sinai. With joyful commemoration and cheese cake, it is also a time to study and reconnect our identity as people of the book.
Please join us on Tuesday, May 30th at 7:00 pm for our Shavuot celebration. Members of our adult education class will be leading the celebration by offering lessons they prepared based on what they learned in class and where their personal exploration led them.
Did we mention the Kugel – Off? Yes! Back by popular demand, we are issuing a challenge to everyone to bring their very best kugel to face off against their friends. Let us know you would like to participate by emailing Amy Cagle.
The cost for the evening is $18 per person. Please reserve your place as soon as possible by clicking below. Everyone is welcome but Kugel goes fast so let us know.
